Jávea and Dénia Market Days for 2026

Monday belongs to Dénia. The Torrecremada market is the broadest shopping stop in this list. It sits near the courts, away from the seafront, and rewards an early start: browse the general stalls first, then cross into town before the midday traffic builds. Don't confuse it with Dénia's indoor Mercat Municipal on Calle Magallanes, which opens Monday to Saturday from 07:30 to 15:00.

Wednesday is for a smaller town. Benitatxell's market is the convenient choice from Jávea, about 15 minutes by car. In 2026 the council returned the stalls to Carrer la Pau after street works, with the location stated as temporary until further notice. Ondara makes more sense from Dénia; its Wednesday market gathers around El Prado and Carrer General Bosch. Neither has the scale of Torrecremada, which is exactly the appeal when you want vegetables and a few household bits without losing the morning.

Thursday is Jávea's fixed date. From 08:30, Plaça de la Constitució in the old town fills with fruit, vegetables and local products alongside clothes, shoes, flowers and kitchen goods. Arrive before 10:00 in summer for easier parking and better produce. The permanent Mercat Municipal is a separate indoor market a short walk away, so you can combine both before lunch.

Friday splits by purpose. Carrer de la Via in Dénia is the one to bookmark for food: the official listing describes a fruit-and-vegetable market with producer stalls, open from 08:00 to 13:30. El Verger's market at Parc Jaume I is a more general local shop, useful if you're based north of Dénia and want produce plus clothes and household basics.

Pedreguer has two separate weekend markets. The Saturday market under and around Els Pòrxens has been part of town life for centuries. It is a proper weekly shop, with food, clothes, accessories and household textiles in the centre. On Sunday, the action moves to the Les Galgues industrial estate for the Rastro. The council lists 09:00 to 13:00; go for second-hand furniture, old tools, toys, decorative pieces and the pleasure of finding something you didn't set out to buy.

For food and a slower breakfast, choose Jesús Pobre on Sunday. Mercat del Riurau is held beneath a 19th-century raisin-drying structure and concentrates on produce and goods with a local connection. Its hours change with the heat: Dénia Tourism lists 09:00 to 14:00 in winter and 18:00 to 23:00 in summer, up to 11 September. The first Sunday of each month also brings the separate Fira de Brocanters from 09:00 to 14:00.

The two Sunday options suit different mornings. Jesús Pobre is compact, food-led and easy to pair with breakfast. Pedreguer is bigger, rougher around the edges and better when you have boot space. They are about 10 minutes apart, so determined browsers can do both outside the summer evening schedule.

Bring cash and a reusable bag. Small produce stalls may take cards, but you shouldn't count on it. In July and August, aim for the first hour at daytime markets; shade is limited and parking near Jávea's old town tightens quickly. At the Sunday Rastro, keep measurements in your phone and a blanket in the car if you're hunting for furniture.

Public holidays, local fiestas and bad weather can shift or cancel a market. Dénia and Jávea councils tell visitors to check holiday arrangements, and temporary road works can change a smaller market's street. Treat the day as fixed but confirm the location on the town council or tourism page before making a special trip.
